Ahoy, fellow MCYS members!
It is with great admiration that we extend our best wishes to Rear Commodore – Sail, John Hall as he embarks on anoother daring adventure – the circumnavigation of Tasmania through the VDLC.
As Rear Commodore, John Hall has long been setting the example for sailing and adventurous spirit and his current challenge will undoubtedly be marked by challenges, triumphs, and the breathtaking beauty of the Tasmanian coastline.
The circumnavigation of Tasmania is no small feat. The unpredictable waters of the Southern Ocean, the awe-inspiring landscapes, and the ever-changing weather patterns will test the skills and resilience of both the sailor and the vessel. Yet, we have full confidence that John Hall’s experience and expertise will guide him safely through these waters.
Wingara II, John’s vessel of choice for this expedition, is a testament to the dedication and meticulous preparation that has gone into planning this circumnavigation. Sturdily build, and true seaworthiness make it the perfect companion for such a journey, and we eagerly anticipate the tales of adventure that will unfold as Wingara II navigates the challenging waters surrounding Tasmania.
To all MCYS members, let us join together in celebrating John Hall’s adventurous spirit and dedication to the sea. May his circumnavigation of Tasmania be filled with unforgettable moments, safe passages, and a lifetime of memories.
