Our season Twilights kicked off on Wednesday 9th November in near perfect conditions with five yachts starting on Wednesday 9 November 2022.
We also had some MCYS power boats cruise the course with us – and there were some great pictures taken!
We call it the Twilight Race and Cruise Series (TRACs) for both sail racing and power or sail cruising. On suitable nights after the race we intend to get together either for social drinks and/or barbeque at the Martha Cove Pavilion (next to the boatramp), or on ocassion raft up outside the harbour entrance. to enjoy some fellowship and the magnificent sunset that our part of the bay offers.
The dates for the twilights are as follows:
Pre-Christmas Wednesday Twilight series – 5 races:
- No 1 Wednesday 9th November 2022
- No 2 Wednesday 30th November 2022
- No 3 Wednesday 07 December 2022
- No 4 Wednesday 14 December 2022
- No 5 Wednesday 21 December 2022
Post-Christmas series – 5 races:
- No 1 Wednesday 01 February 2023
- No 2 Wednesday 15 February 2023
- No 3 Wednesday 22 February 2023
- No 4 Wednesday 08 March 2023
- No 5 Wednesday 22 March 2023
If all 5 races are sailed, each series Champion will be the boat with the best 4 results – one drop!
The overall Champion will be the best performed boat over the two series.

Congratulations to Kon Cili and Friday Harbour crew! Now the handicapper will now be sharpening his pencil to ensure closer racing for the next race on 30 November!
