BLAIRGOWRIE CHALLENGE 2021
Over the weekend of 20/21 February 2021 join with other MCYS members in a COMBINED Power and Sail event.
For Power boats take part in a “Predicted Log” event where before the start you nominate your speed and predicted times at marks – taking into account wind, waves, current and your predicted speed which you are unable to vary except where safety requires! You will record your times and receive one point for each minute you are early or late!
The Power boat with the least points at the end WINS the event!
For Yachts take part in a “Cruise Pursuit” race over the same course. You will be alloted a start time, the intention being that all yachts will finish around the same time. Handicaps will also be applied at the end of the cruise pursuit race. This is a white sail only event, unless you choose to fly “extras” where you will incur a 7.5% time penalty
PRIZES FOR 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division (Power and Sail)
VISITING Yachts and Power Boats from BYS may be competing!
ENTRY is FREE!
BERTHING is FREE!
