Launch of the MCYS Foundation Fund
The MCYS General Committee is delighted to announce the launch of the MCYS Foundation Fund through the Australian Sports Foundation’s (ASF) Fundraising for Sport (F4S) program.
Taking on board suggestions from members and stakeholders at our recent strategic planning session, and acknowledging the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on many sport and recreation clubs, this fund has been created to ‘future proof’ MCYS and will assist us to support initiatives and priority projects that MCYS will identify through this process. These projects may include on and off water activities as well as future facility or capital projects.
The ASF was established by the Federal Government to provide a fundraising platform for sports organisations and clubs through which they can receive tax-deductable donations from individuals and organisations for agreed projects or activities.
MCYS members, stakeholders and friends are invited to make a donation to the fund and are able to receive a tax deduction for donations over $2.

There are three ways to contribute to the MCYS Foundation Fund:
1. Become a Donor | Make a stand-alone tax-deductible
2. 500 Clipper Club Donor | Donate a tax-deductible amount of $500 or more and you will be recognised and acknowledged as one of MCYS 500 Clipper Club Donors.
3. Join the MCYS First Fleet | Leave a lasting legacy at MCYS by becoming a founding member of the MCYS First Fleet through your donation of $10,000 or more.
All donations made to the MCYS Foundation Fund are tax-deductible, and donors will be acknowledged for their generous contribution.
