MYCS operates as a vibrant, inclusive and community-minded club that uniquely embraces both sail and power boating activities – on and off the water.
Our varied membership comprises boat owners, non-boat owners, individuals and families, people with a passion for racing, or cruising under power or sail. While many of our members live at Martha Cove and the surrounding areas, others are from further afield and visit our beautiful Mornington Peninsula whenever they can.
World Class Safe Harbour
Martha Cove is an ideal place to base a yacht squadron offering a safe fully protected harbour with great facilities, marinas, private berths, boatyard, fuel dock, dry stack boat storage, boat ramp, public recreation areas, waterfront housing and more.
We meet regularly in various local venues in and around Martha Cove, Safety Beach and the peninsula for both social and on water activities.
While we continue to plan for our permanent club premises, our members utilise our own MCYS ‘Virtual Clubhouse’ as an effective means to communicate, share boating moments and celebrate member success.
Power and Sail
We’re transforming what it means to belong to a community-based Yacht Squadron. Founded on the belief that any day on, in or near the water is a good day and the ideals of camaraderie, community and meaningful connections. We welcome all members, all types of boats and watercraft, and all people who feel a connection to the water.

Organisation
Since launching, our priority is to our members and building the infrastructure that will allow us to continue to grow sustainably and deliver a boating and social program that reflects the needs of our membership.
Covid-19 significantly hampered the club’s activities through 2020, 2021, and into 2022 During this time we developed a Strategic Plan to guide our efforts and have maintained an active General Committee who advances and oversees club operations.
We seek to connect, inspire, and foster community in the Martha Cove area through our shared love of boating. We care about community and are inclusive. We seek to build capabilities and inspire confidence, while having fun together both on and off the water!
